5 Fitness Tools 1R Endorses

With all of the “greatest piece of fitness equipment ever created… EVER!” noise out there, what fitness tools actually yield results? 1R’s got you covered.

Every time you turn the TV on there’s another infomercial for a get-ripped-quick scheme. Whether it’s The Rack, The Ab Dolly, or everyone’s household favorite, the Shake Weight, our lives are inundated with commercials and bootleg testimonials claiming this new tool is the GREATEST thing since sliced bread. But if tools like the Ab Vibrator actually worked, do you think anyone in America would actually be fat? Right.

The fact is, it’s usually the tools with the least publicity that actually deliver the best results. You know, the ones that let the results do the talking instead of relying on slickly produced ads and celebrity endorsements. To ensure you, and everyone you know, never wastes money on pointless products ever again, we’ve complied the list below of the 5 tools 1R endorses. If used consistently we strongly believe all five will actually help you see the results you’re looking for.

1. The Jump Rope

Is it sexy? Perhaps not. But does it work? Well, judging from the fact that some of the best athletes in the world use it every training section, we’d have to go with a resounding YES. Cheap, portable, and extremely durable, you’d be hard pressed to find better bang for your buck than a jump rope.

It’s why we published an article on 10 Minute Jump Rope Programs that will help you burn fat, and why many of our Weight Loss Programs include jumping rope between sets. If you’re trying to burn calories, few tools are better at it than the jump rope.

2. The Prowler

While the price point is high, the Prowler may be the most versatile strength training tool on the planet. Want to speed up your recovery time? Use the prowler. Want to increase your speed and acceleration? Use the prowler. Want to burn a ton of fat and increase your cardiovascular endurance? Use the prowler. Get the point?

Another inexpensive product that’s far more valuable than its $10 price tag, ab rollers may actually help you get that six pack and core strength countless infomercials promise they’ll deliver. Featured in our article on the Top 5 Ab Exercises, whether you’re doing them on the ground, on a bosu ball, or from a standing position, few exercises will work the core harder, or leave you feeling more sore,than the ab roller.

4. Fat Gripz

If trying to improve your grip strength, nothing is more effective than adding these bad boys to your workout. Throw them on the bar when doing pull-ups, bench presses, or even deadlifts, and you’ll feel the burn in your fingers and forearms after just a few sets.

5. The Mojo

Why is forearm strength important? As your forearms and grip are your primary connection to the weight regardless of what lift you’re doing, it would make sense for them to be as strong as possible right?

We’d recommend starting with sets of 20-30, forward and backward, but there are countless ways to use this tool to bring your gains to the next level. Please refrain from swinging it at any of your friends and you’ll be good to go.
