V-Ups
What You'll Need
Just bring yourself, your "A" game, and perhaps a mat if you're so inclined.
Why You Should Be Doing This Exercise
This is one of the hardest, body weight, core exercises out there. Don't believe us? Go knock out a few sets of twenty and let us know how you feel.
Start
Lie flat on your back with your arms extended over your head and your legs straight so that you're body's in a straight line. Now lift your arms and legs 6" off of the ground. Oh its coming...
Middle
Now bring your hands to your toes so that your body form's the shape of a "V". And you wonder how this ab exercise got its name.
Finish
Slowly return to the starting position. If you're going back for more be sure to keep your arms and leg's 6" from the ground as lying back on the ground every time would just be too easy.
Key Don'ts
There's a reason this is a great core exercise. You're core is under tension the whole time and there comes a point where you may actually feel like your abs are ripping apart. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Bad things would include bending your arms or knees, short changing yourself by not forming a proper "V", or giving up after 2 or 3 reps.
