Physioball Push-Ups
Physioball Push-Ups
What You'll Need
That tricky floor again, but a wrinkle now: A nice, big, ol' physioball.
Why You Should Be Doing This Exercise
The push-up is a beautiful exercise. This is better. Blasphemy, we know, but true. You're gonna work a bunch of muscles that vanilla push-ups just don't. Try it and be happy with the challenge. Your core will be happy you gave it a shot.
Start
Only trick here is where your legs should be on the exercise ball. If you just said to yourself "what is the shin?" you just won the daily double! Everything else about this exercise is exactly the same as a normal push-up... but if you're looking to increase the level of difficulty twist your hands so that they make a 45 degree angle with the rest of your body.
Middle
Smoothly lower body to the floor, maintaining that nice straight line. Your chest should almost touch the ground, but try not to fall off of the ball please.
Finish
Raise yourself back up, and please try not to lock your elbows up.
Key Don'ts
1. Your butt shouldn't be up in the air. It just shouldn't. Straight lines! You can do it, we know you can.
2. Wanna work the inner chest? Move your hands closer together.
3. Wanna work the outer chest? Move your hands further apart.
