Lying T-Bar Rows

Lying T-Bar Rows

What You'll Need
This exercise is well worth the specific equipment required to do it. To rodeo, you'll need a t-bar machine. What is that? Watch the video and get a glimpse for yourself.

Why You Should Be Doing This Exercise
What's special about this exercise is how it minimizes your capacity to take the shortcut. Not to mention, this is one of those exercises where you will really feel the back working, and that's always nice no?

Start
If you should have access to a t-bar, then let's talk set-up. You want your upper chest to be at the top of the pad, which sorta pins you down. Knowing that, adjust the foot pad accordingly. Also, most t-bar's will have multiple grip options. Choose the one that best fits your workout goals.

Middle
Having chosen the grip, you want to take the bar off of its resting point and let your arms dangle while holding the bar. Now pull it up to your chest. Hold that precious lat squeeze for a moment, and then slowly release back to the starting point.

Finish
You'll know when you've maxed, and then it's on you to slowly return the bar to its starting position. Set an example on how to demount the t-bar.

Key Don'ts
The nagging voice within will encourage you to jerk the weight up, to pull your body off the padding and get the bar up by any means necessary. You know you're better than that, so we won't even bother to mention how bootleg such behavior is.
