Ever have those days where everything just feel off? I'm just coming off of a recovery week and started a new program yesterday. I was pumped and feeling great yesterday and met my goals, but today, a whole 2 days in the program, I already hit a wall. I was planning to squat at about 85% (255lbs), and after a good warm up and finishing 3x5 hang cleans, my back decides to randomly tighten up... I don't just mean, "I think my back is a little stiff", I mean "My spine has been tied in a knot by a gorilla and now I can't even touch my toes".
I don't get it. Good warm up, Pre-workout meal, a few practice sets to check form, everything was great...Then boom. Done.
I canned squatting for the day, but my whole routine was off. My normal 1.5 hr workout became a 2.5-3 hour nightmare trying to accomodate my low back.
Anybody else have days like that? How do you get through it? I don't train tomorrow, so hopefully my back will loosen up and I'll be back to training Thursday.
